St. Norbert College Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

St. Norbert College was founded in 1898 by Abbot Pennings, a Norbertine priest who had been sent to the United States by his abbey in Holland with the mission of establishing a Catholic school. The college was first located in a small building in downtown De Pere, Wisconsin and was originally named St. Joseph’s Normal School. In 1899, the school moved to its current location on the banks of the Fox River and changed its name to St. Norbert College in honor of St. Norbert of Xanten, founder of the Premonstratensian order which Abbot Pennings belonged to. In its early years, St. Norbert College was a small liberal arts college primarily focused on educating young men for priesthood and religious life; however, it gradually began to expand its curriculum to include more secular studies as well as offer opportunities for women students as well. By the late 1950s, enrollment had grown significantly and St. Norbert had become an established four-year college offering bachelor’s degrees in many different areas including theology, education, business administration, and science. Today St. Norbert College is a thriving academic community with over 2200 undergraduate students enrolled from across the country and around the world pursuing majors in more than 40 disciplines ranging from accounting to zoology. The college also offers numerous opportunities for student engagement through clubs and organizations such as intramural sports teams and student government as well as study abroad programs throughout Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America that allow students to gain an international perspective on their academic pursuits. See topschoolsintheusa for pharmacy schools in Oklahoma.
