Grace College and Seminary was founded in 1937 by Dr. Homer A. Kent and his wife, Grace, to provide quality Christian higher education to the students of Northern Indiana. The school grew rapidly over the next two decades, expanding its offerings to include a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. In 1965, the school changed its name to Grace College and Seminary in order to better reflect its commitment to providing a Christ-centered education. Over the years, the college has grown significantly in size and scope with new buildings being constructed on campus including a library, classroom buildings, student center, chapel and student housing. The college also offers several online degree programs for students who are unable to attend classes on campus due to work or family commitments. As of 2017, Grace College and Seminary had over 1,800 students enrolled in its programs from all 50 states and over 30 countries around the world.
