Oklahoma City University Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Oklahoma City University was founded in 1904 by the Methodist Episcopal Church as Epworth University. The school’s mission was to provide students with a quality education in a Christian environment. The university’s first classes were held in a two-story frame building located on the corner of First and Grand Avenue. After two years, the school moved to its present location on North Blackwelder Avenue, where it has remained ever since.

In 1915, the school changed its name to Oklahoma City College and began offering four-year degrees. Over the next few decades, the college continued to expand its curriculum and facilities, adding new degree programs and increasing enrollment. In 1925, it became Oklahoma City University (OCU). Since then, OCU has become one of the premier universities in Oklahoma and the Southwest region of the United States. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers over 70 undergraduate majors across 15 academic divisions, as well as several graduate programs. The university also offers a variety of extracurricular activities such as clubs and organizations, student government, intramural sports teams, and cultural events. Check aviationopedia for information about GRE.
