According to ezinereligion, Whistler – Blakcomb is a famous resort 120 km north of Vancouver, combining two high mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb with the largest elevation changes in North America for skiing – 1530 and 1609 m, respectively. Whistler and Blackcomb tracks
Here is the highest-speed lift system in the world, and the number of slopes exceeds two hundred, of which 20% are easy slopes, 55% are moderately difficult, and 25% are very difficult. Since the snow here usually falls more than 10 meters per season, and there are also a lot of snow cannons, the winter season is very long – from November to June.
Both ski areas are good in their own way: there are not weak slopes with dozens of steep slopes in rocky spurs and calmer ones in a wooded area. The names of these extreme descents are “Couloir Extreme” and “Big Bang”.
In addition, Whistler – Blackcomb is the best place for snowboarders in North America, thanks to the large area of snow skiing and the abundance of fun parks and half-pipes of different difficulty levels. Snowboard camps are open throughout the season. Between January and March, a series of snowboard competitions take place at the end of each week.
Perhaps the only fly in the ointment is the relatively high prices for lifts.
Entertainment and attractions
Of interest are the Meadow Park amusement park, the historical Clendinning Provincial Park, standing in the middle of the forest, as well as the Alpha and Lakeside parks located near the lakes.
