University of Winnipeg Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

The University of Winnipeg was established in 1967 when three separate institutions joined together: United College, Manitoba College, and St. John’s College. United College had been founded in 1938 as the United Church of Canada’s first post-secondary institution in Western Canada. Manitoba College had been established in 1871 as an affiliated college of the University of Manitoba. St. John’s College was founded in 1866 as a denominational college by the Anglican Church of Canada, and over time developed into a non-denominational liberal arts college. In 1967, these three colleges merged to form the University of Winnipeg, which was then officially incorporated by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba.

The university has grown significantly since its establishment and now offers over 50 degree programs and more than 20 graduate programs across four faculties: Arts, Business and Economics, Education, and Science. The university also provides a variety of student services such as counselling services, career services, learning support services, health services and student life activities. The university is committed to providing a quality education to all students regardless of their background or financial situation through various scholarship opportunities and bursaries available for students who demonstrate financial need or academic excellence. Check LOCALCOLLEGEEXPLORER.COM for a list of colleges and universities in Wyoming.
