The University of Findlay was founded in 1882 by the Churches of God General Conference, a Christian denomination. Originally known as Findlay College, it began with just two faculty members and seven students. In 1908, the college was renamed the University of Findlay in recognition of its growth and development. The university began offering graduate programs in 1961 and has seen steady enrollment growth ever since. Today, the University of Findlay is a comprehensive university with more than 5,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs across five colleges: Arts & Sciences; Business; Education; Health Professions; and Pharmacy.
