It is the only public university in the state of Missouri to be designated as a “highly selective” institution by U.S. News & World Report, with an acceptance rate of 67%. The student body consists of approximately 6,500 students from all 50 states and several countries around the world. The average ACT score for incoming freshmen is 26.4, and the average GPA for incoming freshmen is 3.7. Additionally, Truman State has a rich tradition of academic excellence and offers more than 150 undergraduate programs in areas such as business administration, education and health sciences.
