Trinity University was founded in 1869 by Cumberland Presbyterian Church (CPC), and its first classes were held in September of that year. The university was originally located in Tehuacana, Texas, but moved to Waxahachie in 1902. Trinity has been a private liberal arts college since its founding and has grown significantly over the years. The university now consists of five colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Communication, Education and Human Development, and Health Professions. It also includes a School of Engineering. In 2007, Trinity opened its first international campus in Rome, Italy. Since then, it has opened two additional campuses in San Antonio and Segovia, Spain to serve students from all over the world.
