Passport information

Generally required, must be valid for at least 6 months on the day of entry and have at least two to three free pages on entry.

Visa information

Generally required, with the exception of nationals of the following countries listed in the table above for a tourist stay of up to 30 days (plus a possible extension of 60 days): (a) Germany, Austria and all other EU countries (exception: [ 1] Nationals of Bulgaria and Romania require a visa.) (b) Switzerland; (c) Turkey.

Fees in Brussels: Single visa and multiple entry visa: €50.

Visa types and costs

Single entry visa, multiple entry visa within 3 or 6 months.

Validity

Single and multiple entry visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Those wishing to stay in the country for 6 months or more should apply for a temporary residence permit at the Immigration Office in Eswatini (Box 372, Mbabane). In person or by post at the responsible consular representation (see contact addresses).

Application required

(a) 2 application forms. (b) 2 passport photos. (c) Passport that is valid for at least 6 months upon entry. (d) Fee (cash upon application). (e) Proof of round-trip ticket. (f) stamped, registered, self-addressed envelope for delivery of visaed passport. Documents for Visa on Arrival (a) Passport. (b) Return or onward travel tickets and documents. (c) Sufficient Funds.

Temporary Residence

Applications to the Immigration Office in Mbabane or the Embassy in Brussels (see contact addresses).

Processing time

As a rule, the issuance takes place within 24 hours after receipt of all documents, but in exceptional cases it can take up to 3 weeks. Postal applications always take a few days longer.

Proof of sufficient funds

All foreigners must have sufficient funds during their stay.

Entry with children

German: Machine-readable children’s passport or your own passport. Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU). Entries of children in the parental passport are no longer possible. Attention: Minors traveling alone need the written travel permission of the absent legal guardian/parent(s).

Entry with pets

Information on pet import permits can be obtained from the State Veterinarian, Customs House, Fraser Street, Johannesburg, South Africa or Veterinary Services, POBox 162, Mbabane, Eswatini. Cats and dogs require a rabies vaccination certificate.
