St. Paul’s College Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

St. Paul’s College was founded in 1831 as a small liberal arts college in the heart of what is now downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. The college was founded by a group of local clergymen and businessmen who wanted to create an institution of higher education for the growing population of the city. The college grew quickly, and by the 1840s had established itself as one of the leading educational institutions in the Midwest. During its early years, St. Paul’s College focused on providing a quality education to its students, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It offered classes in a variety of disciplines including mathematics, literature, history, science, and languages. In addition to its regular classes, it also provided evening classes for those who could not attend during the day due to work or family obligations.

The college’s reputation continued to grow throughout the 19th century and into the 20th century when it began offering courses in business administration and engineering as well as expanding its offerings in other areas such as art and music. By this time St. Paul’s College had become one of the most respected institutions in Minnesota with a student body that included some of the most influential people from around the state. In 1953 St. Paul’s College merged with Macalester College which was another prestigious liberal arts college located nearby and became Macalester-St Paul’s College (now Macalester College). This merger allowed for greater resources for both schools and enabled them to offer an even more comprehensive curriculum than before while still maintaining their individual identities within the larger institution. See topschoolsintheusa for top high schools in Delaware.
