St. Lawrence University is a private liberal arts college in Canton, New York. Founded in 1856 as a preparatory school for boys, it was chartered as a university in 1858 and became coeducational in 1969. The university consists of four schools: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, and Nursing.
Over the years St. Lawrence University has made great strides towards becoming an elite liberal arts college. In 1987, the university established its first graduate program with the launch of its Master’s of Business Administration (MBA).
