Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) is a public university located in Marietta, Georgia. It was founded in 1948 as the Southern Technical Institute, a two-year college serving the greater Atlanta area. In 1962, the school was renamed Southern College of Technology and began offering four-year degrees. In 1996, the school was given university status and became Southern Polytechnic State University. Since then, SPSU has grown to become one of the largest universities in Georgia.
SPSU offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs across a range of disciplines including engineering, business, health sciences, science and mathematics, computing and software engineering, and liberal arts.
