Sierra Nevada College was founded in 1969 by Dr. Robert C. Maxson and is located on the Nevada/California border in Incline Village, Nevada. It is a private, four-year liberal arts college, offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs to over 1,500 students each year. SNC has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1975 and was the first college in the state of Nevada to receive regional accreditation.
The college’s mission is to provide an engaging learning experience that encourages intellectual curiosity, fosters creativity and innovation, and prepares students for personal growth and global citizenship. To this end, SNC offers over 50 undergraduate degree programs including Business Administration, Computer Science, Education Studies, Psychology, Environmental Studies and Visual Arts; as well as several master’s degree programs in Business Administration (MBA) and Nursing (MSN).
