Santa Fe University of Art and Design Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD) was established in 1983 as The College of Santa Fe. It was founded by a group of local business leaders who wanted to create an institution dedicated to the arts and design. For the first ten years, the college offered only associate degrees, but in 1993 it began offering bachelor’s degrees in art, design, and related fields. Over the years, SFUAD has grown to include degree programs in film production, photography, animation, fashion design, graphic design, music production and engineering technology. In 2008 the college officially changed its name to Santa Fe University of Art and Design to better reflect its commitment to providing students with a comprehensive education in art and design.

The university has also become increasingly involved with the community over the years. SFUAD has developed strong partnerships with local organizations such as The Santa Fe Opera House, The Lensic Performing Arts Center and Meow Wolf. These partnerships have allowed students access to internships and jobs that would not be available at other institutions. In 2017 SFUAD became one of only two universities in New Mexico approved by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD). This approval allows SFUAD to offer accredited programs that meet national standards for quality education and training in art and design disciplines. Check USPRIVATESCHOOLSFINDER for a list of private schools in Washington.

Today SFUAD is a thriving university filled with creative minds from all over the world who come together to learn about art and design while engaging with their community through various activities like lectures, workshops or exhibitions. With over 900 students enrolled each year from more than 30 countries around the world it is clear that SFUAD has created an atmosphere where creativity can flourish while giving students an opportunity for personal growth through their studies.
