St.Mary’s University is a manageable and friendly university. In addition to a well-equipped library, several PC rooms are available to students, including a 24-hour PC room. The university also offers so-called study rooms, which are usually also equipped with a PC and which can be reserved individually or as a group. The introduction to university life at St. Mary’s is made easier by the “free” and very well organized orientation week in the first few days. Check iamaccepted.com to see Germany higher education.

Furthermore, the university offers numerous sports facilities. From a Foobal field to a gym you can find a lot.

The lectures are usually well prepared and I had the final impression that the professors understand their subject… However, the level is usually somewhat adapted to the circumstances.

What is very positive is that you always have a contact person and you get a quick answer to your inquiries.

Life in Halifax is fine too. The cozy city offers a good mix of big and small town…

With the highest density of pubs of all cities in Canada, Halifax scores a few plus points with students. The bars and clubs are all concentrated in the city center and organized pub crawls are often offered.

Due to the fact that Halifax is located by the sea, you have to reckon with constant changes in the weather. The rental prices in Halifax are slightly higher than in Germany, or comparable to the popular university towns here.
However, finding accommodation can be a little more difficult. In any case, you have to be prepared to reduce your hygiene and space needs a bit, since the rooms are all very small and from my own experience the Canadian roommates are not the tidiest : o)…

All in all, it was an eventful semester, which I enjoyed was a lot of fun.
