Reed College Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Reed College was founded in 1908 by Oregon philanthropist and businessman, Simeon Reed. It was the first college in the Pacific Northwest to offer a liberal arts education. The college was originally known as the Reed Institute, and it was located in downtown Portland. The original curriculum included courses in English, history, mathematics, Latin, Greek, science, and philosophy. Over time, the curriculum expanded to include more advanced courses such as psychology and sociology. In addition to its academic offerings, Reed College has a strong commitment to providing students with a well-rounded education through activities such as athletics and extracurriculars. Throughout its history Reed College has been committed to promoting diversity both on campus and in its student body. This commitment is exemplified through its long-standing partnership with Portland’s historically black colleges and universities which began in 1932. Today, Reed College continues to be dedicated to providing an excellent education for all of its students regardless of their background or economic status. Check electronicsencyclopedia for information about American College of Forensic Examiners.
