Beach Holiday

Great Britain is not traditionally considered a country of beach holidays. However, there are good beach resorts here. See toppharmacyschools for geography, climate and cuisine in United Kingdom.

Beach holidays in the UK are represented by the resorts of Torbay, Brighton, Newport, St. Helier and Southend-on-Sea. The sandy and pebbly coastline is clean. The beaches here are municipal, the entrance to most of them is free. The peak of the season falls on July-September, but thanks to the warm current of the Gulf Stream, you can swim here almost all autumn.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the UK offers the following entertainment:

  • Diving. The waters off the coast of Dorset are considered an ideal place for scuba diving, along which many ships sank. The depth of flooding is from 40 to 60 meters. Also popular among divers are the coastal waters of Portland and Raybury.
  • Windsurfing – This sport is best practiced in the South West or West of England. It is here that there are sports centers for learning to surf and windsurf.
  • Canyoning is downhill skiing down a mountain river without a raft. If you come across a waterfall along the way, you will either have to jump or descend on a special rope under the falling jets of water.
  • Rafting is the conquest of mountain streams on rafts or catamarans. Suitable for thrill seekers.
  • Golf. Hampshire is famous for the best golf courses. There are 12 of them in the county. Connoisseurs of this sport should visit the coastal golf club Barton on Sea, Isle of Perbeck (Perbeck Island) and Bramshaw (here you can find equipped courses on the plain and in the wooded area).
  • Hunting. There are many hunting grounds in England. Hunting for pheasants, partridges and pigeons is especially popular.
  • Fishing.
  • Shooting. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you will try your hand at both bullet shooting and archery at targets.
  • Safari – Land Rover cross-country driving will appeal to fans of extreme sports. After seeing the scenery, you can have a picnic on the banks of the river.
  • Horse Riding – The best places for horse riding are in the New Forest, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the South Downs. Well trained and gentle horses and ponies (for children) are provided for riding.
  • Sailing – in the UK, sailing to the Isle of Wight, or along the picturesque coast of England, is popular with tourists.

The UK is famous for its educational programs. A diploma from the University of Cambridge or Oxford is valued all over the world. For school-age children, developing English courses are open here.

Family and children’s rest

In the UK, tourists with children will like it. Be sure to visit with your child:

  • Chester Zoo, 110 acres. It contains many rare animals (coati, tuatara, guanaco, etc.)
  • Alton Towers Amusement Park (Staffordshire), Legoland in Windsor, Oakwood in Wales, Drayton Manor in Staffordshire, Blackgang Chine (Isle of Wight), Paultons in the New Forest, Crealy Adventure Park in Devon and others.
  • LondonFerris wheel. Its height is 135 meters.
  • Safari parks. There are more than 20 of them in the UK.

Night life

The center of UK nightlife is located in London. From noon until two in the morning there are bars (club-bars) where you can have a delicious meal and have a good rest.
Leicester Square, which is located in the Soho area, has the most incendiary discos (Equinox and Hippodrome).

You can rest and improve your health in Buxton, Yorkshire, Leamington, Hampshire and Gloucestershire. In local health complexes you will be offered to take a radon bath, undergo a spa massage course, or drink water from mineral springs.

There are thousands of places of interest in the UK, both culturally and historically. Here everyone will find entertainment to their taste.
When visiting the UK, be sure to visit:
