Passport and visa regulations

Note on the passport

Entry with children

Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU). Entries of children in the parental passport are no longer possible.

Entry with pets

A health certificate is required for dogs and cats, issued no more than 30 days before departure. The health certificate must confirm that the animal lives in an area free of contagious animal diseases. If the animal is more than 4 months old, a rabies vaccination certificate is also required, issued no more than 6 months before entry. For birds, a health certificate must be issued immediately before departure, certifying that the animal is free from parrot disease and ornithosis.
