Point University Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Point University was founded in 1937 as Atlanta Christian College by Dr. Marion B. Folsom and a group of local business leaders. The school opened with only 12 students and the goal to provide a quality education that would develop students’ spiritual, social, and intellectual growth. During its first year, the college provided classes in Bible, English, history, mathematics, science and physical education. The early years were challenging as the college had to struggle to stay afloat financially. In 1952, the college changed its name to Point University and began offering associate degree programs in addition to its existing bachelor’s degree program.

In 1967, Point University became a four-year liberal arts institution and began offering master’s degree programs five years later in 1972. In 1981, Point University moved from its original location on Ponce De Leon Avenue in Atlanta to West Point Georgia where it has remained ever since. Since then the university has seen tremendous growth both academically and financially which has allowed it to expand its curriculum offerings significantly and develop new facilities such as residence halls for students who wish to live on campus while attending school. Today Point University offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and several graduate degrees while maintaining its commitment to educating students spiritually as well as intellectually. Check Ehuzhou for a list of GMAT test centers in Virginia.
