In 1886, the college changed its name to Peru State Normal School and College and began offering both two-year and four-year degree programs. In 1921, the school officially became Peru State College, which offered bachelor’s degrees in education, science, arts, home economics, and music. After WWII, enrollment began to decline as many veterans returned home but eventually picked back up again during the Korean War. Today Peru State College is a four-year public liberal arts institution that offers over 30 degree programs ranging from business administration to criminal justice.
