According to extrareference, Pantelleria (Sicilian: Pantillirìa) is an island in the Mediterranean Sea (Europe) that is part of Italy ‘s autonomous region of Sicily. Pantelleria is located approximately 85 kilometers southwest of the Italian island of Sicily and approximately 70 kilometers northeast of Tunisia. The capital of Pantelleria is the eponymous Pantelleria.
Pantelleria is a volcanic island with both European and African influences. This is due to its central location between Europe and Africa. Pantelleria has a number of villages spread over the island. These villages are mostly authentic and therefore worth a visit. On the island you will also find a castle and some “Sesi’s”, a kind of tombs from 1800. The landscape of Pantelleria is green and rocky with some mountain peaks, which reach up to 836 meters. There are some black sand beaches on the coast, but it consists entirely of rocky coast. There are also some resources available. The waters around Pantelleria are ideal for sailing and diving. Especially the underwater rock formations attract many divers. Especially in the summer months, many tourists flock to this island and thus ensure that the population can build up an income to live on all year round. Part of the population also works in agriculture.
