Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU) was founded in 1968 by Jess C. Moody, a pastor from West Palm Beach, Florida. Its original goal was to provide a Christian liberal arts education for students of all backgrounds. Moody wanted to create an institution that combined the academic rigor of a traditional university with the spiritual guidance of a church.
Since its founding, PBAU has grown from an enrollment of just over one hundred students to nearly four thousand today.
