Otis College of Art and Design was founded in 1918 by Los Angeles’ foremost philanthropist, Harrison Gray Otis. The school was originally established as the Los Angeles School of Art and Design, a private institution located in downtown L.A. In 1969, the college was renamed Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design to honor its founder and his commitment to art education. Over the years, Otis College has become one of the leading art and design schools in the country, offering students a comprehensive education in fine arts, design, media arts, fashion design and marketing management.

Today, Otis College is a thriving community of nearly 1,200 students from all over the world.
