Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) was founded in 1968, as a private Christian university affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. Located in Mount Vernon, Ohio, MVNU has grown from a small liberal arts college to a full-fledged university with more than 70 academic programs. The school’s mission is to “educate and empower students to lead and serve as exemplary followers of Jesus Christ.”
MVNU has experienced significant growth over its 50 year history, expanding its offerings from 32 programs in 1973 to more than 70 today.
