Montreat College Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Montreat College was founded in 1916 by Rev. John C. Collins and his wife, Maude Moore Collins, as a Christian liberal arts college. The school was originally known as the Appalachian Training School but changed its name to Montreat College in 1967 when it moved to its current location in North Carolina. The move was made at the request of a group of local business and civic leaders who wanted to create a college in the area that would serve their community’s educational needs.

Since then, Montreat College has grown into a thriving institution with several campuses located throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in over 25 areas of study including business, education, nursing, psychology, and theology. The college is also home to two athletic programs: men’s baseball and women’s softball. In addition to its academic programs, Montreat College also provides students with numerous opportunities for extracurricular activities such as intramural sports leagues and student clubs. Check foodezine for information about Aberystwyth University.
