Missouri Baptist University (MBU) was founded in 1957 by the Missouri Baptist Convention. It began as a junior college with just over 100 students and seven faculty members. The school was originally located in St. Louis, but the growing enrollment necessitated a move to its current location in Creve Coeur, Missouri, in 1968. MBU has since become a comprehensive university offering more than 80 undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates and diplomas. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
MBU offers an education rooted in faith, service and learning to its nearly 5,000 students from across the world. The university’s mission is to prepare individuals for lives of significance and service through Christ-centered higher education.
