Master’s College and Seminary was founded in 1927 as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary by Dr. John R. Rice, a prominent Baptist leader and pastor. In the early years, the school offered courses in theology, Bible and evangelism for students who were preparing for ministry and missionary service. The school moved to its current location in Santa Clarita in 1979, and the name was changed to Master’s College and Seminary.
