Maranatha Baptist Bible College was founded in 1968 by Dr. Robert G. Lee and his wife, Mrs. Betty Lee. The school began as a small Bible college with an emphasis on preparing men and women for Christian service. With the help of generous gifts from individuals, churches, and business firms, Maranatha quickly grew to be a leading institution in Christian higher education. In the early years, Maranatha offered only a few courses and had a limited student body. However, as time went on and more students enrolled, the college expanded its curriculum to include several degree programs in Bible studies and Christian ministries. Today, Maranatha offers over thirty degree programs across five academic schools: School of Biblical Studies; School of Ministry; School of Music & Worship Arts; School of Education & Human Services; and School of Business & Leadership Studies. The school also has an online learning program for students who prefer to study from home or have difficulty attending classes on campus due to health or other personal reasons. The college is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is committed to providing quality education for its students in a Christ-centered environment.
