Madonna University was established in 1937 by the Felician Sisters. The mission of the school at that time was to provide an education opportunity for young women from all walks of life. In 1959, the school became co-educational and changed its name to Madonna College. Over the next few decades, the college continued to grow in size and reputation, offering more courses and programs and expanding its campus. In 2013, Madonna College officially became Madonna University. Today, Madonna University is a thriving university with over 4500 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.
