Loyola Marymount University (LMU) is a private Catholic university in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1911 by the Society of Jesus as Loyola College, and later merged with Marymount College in 1973 to form LMU. Today, LMU is one of the 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.
