Life University was founded in 1974 as the Life Chiropractic College by Dr. Sid E. Williams, a chiropractor and educator from Marietta, Georgia. He believed that chiropractic had the potential to make a positive impact on the health of individuals and society. To achieve this, he created an institution that would provide students with the highest level of education and training in chiropractic medicine.
Since its inception, Life University has become one of the premier institutions for chiropractic education in the world. It offers a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree program which is accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE).
