Le Moyne College was founded in 1946 as the first Jesuit college in New York State. It was established by the Society of Jesus in response to the growing educational needs of Syracuse’s post-World War II population. Initially, Le Moyne College was an all-male school and offered a two-year program in Liberal Arts. It wasn’t until 1970 that Le Moyne College became fully coeducational and began offering four year degrees.

In 1972, Le Moyne College received its first accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The following year, they opened their Graduate School of Business which allowed students to pursue a master’s degree in business administration. Since then, more than 40 undergraduate programs and 17 graduate programs have been added to their curriculum.

Throughout its history, Le Moyne College has remained committed to its Jesuit mission of providing an education that is rooted in academic excellence and ethical values. Le Moyne College is an independent college located in Syracuse, New York. It was founded in 1946 and is the only Jesuit college in the region. The college offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, nursing, and more.
