Passport information
Generally required, must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay.
Visa information
Generally required, with the exception of citizens of the following countries listed in the table above, among others, provided they have valid documents for return or onward travel and sufficient funds for the duration of the tourist stay of up to 3 months (unless otherwise stated) or for have a business stay of up to 30 days: EU countries, Switzerland and Turkey (France, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary for up to 30 days and Great Britain, Malta and Cyprus for up to 6 months). Exceptions: [1] Citizens of Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia (except nationals of these countries hold US visas and are vaccinated against measles, rubella and polio). Visa upon entry: The nationalities mentioned under [1] receive a visa upon entry as tourists (condition: validity of the passport, confirmed return/onward travel tickets and sufficient funds).

Costs
Depends on the nationality, more detailed information can be obtained from the consular representations. Germans: €45 (in Berlin) (visas are compulsory for stays longer than 3 months). Swiss: €45 (in Berlin) (visas are compulsory for stays longer than 3 months). Turks: €45 (in Berlin) (visas are compulsory for stays longer than 3 months). Visa on arrival: US$100.
Visa types and costs

Application required
Tourist Entry Visa: (a) 2 application forms. (b) 2 passport photos. (c) Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay. (d) Proof of Sufficient Funds. (e) Proof of hotel and flight bookings (tourist or business trip) or letter of invitation from a Jamaican private individual and flight ticket (visiting trip) and return or onward travel ticket. (f) Fee (cash upon application or by personal check). Entry visa for business visits additionally: (g) letter from the company in Jamaica.

Processing time
Generally 2 weeks (possibly faster if the application is submitted in person by prior arrangement). Depending on nationality up to a maximum of 6-8 weeks.
Proof of sufficient funds
All travelers must have sufficient funds.
Documents required upon entry
Proof of sufficient financial means, return or onward travel ticket and passport.
Entry with children
Germans: Machine-readable children’s passport or your own passport (Caution: When traveling to/from the USA, visa-free transit with ESTA approval is only possible with your own passport.) Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. Note: Unaccompanied minors are recommended to carry a declaration of consent from the legal guardian. Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU). Entries of children in the parental passport are no longer possible.
Entry with pets
Dogs and cats from Germany, Austria and Switzerland may not be imported. The import of birds is generally prohibited.
