Germany and Austria The stated visa fees apply to German and Austrian citizens. Visa: €50 (single entry); €110 (multiple entries). E-Visa on arrival at Félix-Houphouet-Boigny Airport in Abidjan: (multiple entries, valid for 3 months): 73€, Switzerland Visa fees shown are for Swiss citizens. Visa: €110 (valid for 1 to 3 months). Validity

3 months from entry.

Transit

Transit travelers who continue their journey on the same plane or the next connection on the same day, have valid documents for onward travel and do not leave the airport do not need a visa. In person at the consulate or at the consular section of the embassy (see contact addresses). After paying the visa fee on www.sednai.com and receiving the payment receipt and appointment code, an appointment is made.

Application required

Tourist Visa: (a) Passport valid for more than 6 months beyond stay and containing at least two blank pages and a copy of passport. (b) 1 application form (can be downloaded from www.ambaci.de and www.snedai.ci). (c) 1 recent passport photo (less than 6 months old). (d) Yellow fever vaccination certificate issued at least 10 days prior to entry. (e) Address of a reference person (e.g. parents, friends or employer). (f) Hotel Booking Confirmation. (g) Confirmed onward or return ticket. (h) Fee (payable online at www.snedai.com). Printed receipt of payment, which the applicant receives via email. (i) If applicable, residence permit for Germany, Austria or Switzerland. (j) Proof of foreign travel health insurance. Private visa additionally: (k) Letter of invitation with full address of the person to be visited. (l) Accommodation certificate certified by the municipality in Côte d’Ivoire. (m) Copy of the identity card of the person to be visited or the water/electricity bill Business visa additionally: (n) Letter of introduction from the sending company to the embassy with confirmation of the assumption of costs. (o) Company invitation in Côte d’Ivoire. Work visa additionally: (p) Health certificate. A stamped, registered return envelope is required for delivery of the visaed passport.

Processing time

7-10 days if issued directly at the embassy/consulate. Switzerland: 3-7 days plus post. Online Visa: The e-Visa must be applied for at least 3 days prior to travel.

Proof of sufficient funds

Foreigners must have sufficient funds during their stay.

Documents required upon entry

Proof of accommodation and onward or return flight documents (flight ticket, visa for a third country, etc.). Yellow fever vaccination (at least 10 days old).

Entry with children

German: Machine-readable children’s passport with photograph or your own passport. Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. Attention: Minors traveling alone must be accompanied by their parents to the airport or picked up there. No special formalities are expected. However, a declaration of consent from the absent parent (with a certified signature) should be available as a precaution. Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU).
