Hvar is a mountainous limestone island. The capital Hvar is the center of tourism on the island. In this city you can find everything for the tourist such as shopping streets, nightlife and a large harbor. In addition, besides the capital, you can find beautiful sandy beaches along the entire coast where you can practice many water sports, among other things. Due to influences from various cultures, the island has a lot to offer. This is especially reflected in the many old (port) towns and their monuments.
