Humphreys College was founded in 1852, in Stockton, California. It became the first chartered college in California and the first to grant degrees. The college’s founders wanted to create a place of higher learning that could provide quality education to all. The college began as a small school with only 40 students and six professors. Over the years, it has grown into a highly respected institution with more than 2,000 students and over 150 faculty members.

The college has seen many changes throughout its long history. In the early 1900s, it began offering night classes and summer sessions to accommodate working students who could not attend during regular hours. In the 1940s, Humphreys College opened its doors to women for the first time and began offering four-year degree programs in various fields such as business and engineering. During this period, the college also expanded its campus by adding several new buildings including a library and student union center. Check LAWSCHOOLSINUSA for a list of law schools in Minnesota.
