Gwynedd-Mercy College was founded in 1948 by the Sisters of Mercy. It is a private, Catholic college located in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania. The college was originally called Gwynedd-Mercy Junior College and it offered two-year associate degrees in Arts and Sciences. In the late 1960s, the college began offering four-year bachelor’s degrees, and in 1974, it changed its name to Gwynedd-Mercy College.
