Passport information
Generally required, must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay.
Visa information
Generally required, except for citizens of the following countries listed in the table above for stays of up to 90 days, provided they have a return or onward ticket and sufficient funds for the duration of the stay: EU countries and Switzerland ([1] Exceptions: Citizens of Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Cyprus require a visa). Note: Austrians generally do not need a visa. However, since travelers without a visa have been rejected when passing through Miami and Port-au-Prince, a visa is still recommended.

Validity
3 months from date of issue. Duration of stay and extension at the discretion of the immigration authorities.
Transit
Otherwise transit travelers who require a visa and who fly on with the next connection within 7 hours and do not leave the transit area do not need a transit visa. (If the stay is expected to last longer than 7 hours, a transit visa must be obtained beforehand). Attention: Nationals of some countries are exempt from this and require a transit visa in any case, including Bulgaria, Poland, Romania and Hungary. Citizens of the Slovak and Czech Republics can obtain transit visas on arrival if pre-registered by their airlines.
Application required
(a) 3 application forms. (b) 3 passport photos. (c) Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay. (d) Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay. (e) Copy of all travel documents (planned itinerary, flight tickets, hotel booking, etc.). (f) Fee (cash upon application or by bank transfer). Business visa additionally: (g) Company letter or invitation from a Guyana registered company. Visiting trips additionally: (h) Invitation of the host. A registered, addressed return envelope and proof of payment of the fees should be enclosed with the postal application.

Entry with children
German: Machine-readable children’s passport with photograph or your own passport. Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. Attention: If a child is traveling with only one parent, certain documents such as an officially certified declaration of consent from the other parent must be presented. Minors traveling alone should carry an officially certified declaration of consent from their parents/guardians. Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU).
