Goshen College was founded in 1894 by Mennonites, who had recently immigrated to the United States from Europe. The college was created in order to provide higher education opportunities for the Mennonite community. Since its founding, Goshen College has grown and evolved into a four-year liberal arts college that offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and several graduate programs.
