Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary was founded in 1920 by the late Dr. William B. Riley, a beloved pastor and theologian from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had a vision for an institution of higher learning that would prepare men and women for Christian service in the church, missionary work abroad, and evangelism at home. Dr. Riley’s vision was realized when Faith Baptist Bible College opened its doors on October 5th, 1920 with a faculty of four professors and twenty-five students.

Over the next several decades, Faith Baptist Bible College experienced steady growth and development in both size and scope. In 1944, it began offering graduate level courses leading to Master’s degrees in Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Education, Pastoral Studies and Missions; thus becoming one of the first schools to offer such programs at this level. In 1953, it became fully accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) as well as the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools (NCA). This accreditation made Faith Baptist Bible College eligible to receive federal aid for its students which helped to make higher education more accessible to its student body.

In 1973, Faith Baptist Bible College changed its name to Faith Baptist Bible College & Theological Seminary (FBBC&TS) after being granted permission by the State of Iowa Board of Regents to offer Doctoral degrees in Theology and other related fields; making it one of only two seminaries in Iowa with this distinction at the time. Undergirded by a commitment to academic excellence coupled with spiritual vitality, FBBC&TS has grown into one of the premier Christian colleges/seminaries in America today with over 2200 students enrolled from all fifty states plus several foreign countries around the world.
