The Escuela de Artes Plasticas de Puerto Rico (EAPPR) was founded in 1924 by the Puerto Rican government to promote the artistic development of its citizens and provide quality education in the visual arts. The school was established in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was the first art school of its kind on the island. Since its inception, EAPPR has been instrumental in helping to shape and develop Puerto Rican culture through its commitment to teaching students from all backgrounds about the importance of art and creativity. Over the years, EAPPR has grown from a small institution offering courses in painting and sculpture to one that provides a comprehensive education in all areas of visual arts. In addition to traditional courses such as drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design and photography, EAPPR also offers classes in digital media arts, animation and film making. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities such as workshops, lectures and exhibitions that are open to both students and members of the public. In recent years, EAPPR has become increasingly connected with other institutions around the world through international exchange programs that allow students to gain experience abroad while studying at their own school. This has helped create an environment where students can learn not just about art but also about different cultures around the world.
