Erskine College was founded in 1839 by the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and is located in Due West, South Carolina. It is one of the oldest colleges in the state and is consistently ranked among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation. The college began with only 10 students, but has since grown to over 1,000 students and has become a leader in higher education. Erskine College offers a variety of degree programs including business, education, history, religion and more. The college also offers many extracurricular activities such as intramural sports teams, Greek life organizations and several student-led clubs.
The campus itself consists of 25 buildings spread across its 175-acre grounds. Its main buildings are Abney Hall which houses the library; Bradley Hall which is home to classrooms; Pressly Hall which is home to the chapel; and Nevins Hall which houses administrative offices. The school also has a number of athletic facilities including an Olympic-sized pool and a track stadium that hosts events throughout the year.
