Dunwoody College of Technology was established in 1914 as a technical school that offered vocational training for young people looking to learn a trade. Founded by William Hood Dunwoody, the school was originally located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and initially offered courses in carpentry, machining, and blacksmithing.
