Passport information
Generally required, must be valid for at least 6 months when you leave the country.
Visa information
Generally required, except for citizens of the following countries listed in the table above for stays of up to 6 months (unless otherwise stated): (a) Germany, Austria and all other EU countries. (b) Switzerland. (c) Turkey (stay up to max. 21 days). If the stay is to last longer than 21 days, a visa must be obtained in advance.
Costs

Application required
All documents must be translated into English and notarized. (a) 1 Application Form (downloadable at dominica.gov.dm/forms#). (b) 2 recent color passport photographs. (c) Passport valid for at least 6 months upon departure and containing at least one blank page. (d) Letter of Invitation. (e) Fee (proof of payment). (f) Confirmation from travel agent of paid round trip. (g) Business travel: letter from host. (h) If applicable, a residence permit for Germany/Austria/Switzerland that is still valid for at least two months after the return date. (i) Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement, travel agency statement for package tours, Letter of invitation from relatives or friends for private visits). (j) Proof of employment/ proof of self-employment. (k) A stamped, registered return envelope. (l) current police clearance certificate. (m) Health certificate including HIV test.
Temporary Residence
In order to get a residency permit, one must first apply for a work permit.
Processing time
From the personal appointment of the visa application usually 10 days; up to 3 weeks for an additional interview or documents to be submitted later. Long-term visas usually up to 12 weeks.
Proof of sufficient funds
Foreigners must have sufficient funds.
Documents required upon entry
The following documents are required for visa-free entry: (a) Return/onward travel ticket. (b) Sufficient Funds. (c) Passport that is still valid for at least 6 months.
Extension of stay
Extensions should be applied for locally at the Immigration Department in Roseau (Police Headquarters).
Entry with children
German: Machine-readable children’s passport or your own passport. Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. Note: Minors traveling alone should carry an officially certified declaration of consent from the legal guardian. Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU). Entries of children in the parental passport are no longer possible.
Entry with pets
