Dallas Christian College Acceptance Rate, Average GPA, SAT and ACT Scores

Dallas Christian College (DCC) was founded in 1950 by a small group of local churches. The college was originally established to provide an education for students who desired to pursue a career in ministry or other church-related fields. As the years passed, DCC began to expand its curriculum and programs to accommodate students from all backgrounds and interests. In the 1970s, DCC began offering degree programs in non-religious fields such as business, education, and social work. During this time, the college also became accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, DCC continued to grow both academically and spiritually. The college developed new degree programs in psychology, communication studies, political science and more. During this time period, enrollment increased significantly as more students were attracted to Dallas Christian College’s unique combination of quality academics and spiritual formation. In 2009, DCC celebrated its 50th anniversary with a special ceremony honoring its founders and past presidents.

Today Dallas Christian College is a thriving institution that continues to offer rigorous academic programming while providing students with an environment that fosters spiritual growth. Students have access to internships with local businesses as well as numerous extracurricular activities such as student government organizations, intramural sports teams and campus ministries. Additionally, DCC partners with several other colleges for dual-degree programs that allow students to obtain two degrees simultaneously in less time than it would normally take them otherwise.
