The College of St. Benedict was founded in 1913 by a group of Benedictine Sisters led by Mother Alfred Moes, OSB. The college was founded with the mission to prepare young women for leadership roles in society. The college opened its doors with just 10 nuns and a handful of students, but soon grew to include over 500 students and faculty members. From its early days, the college has been dedicated to providing quality education and cultivating a strong sense of community among its students.
