Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1882. It is the first school to offer an educational program for mortuary science. The college originally began as a part-time evening program and eventually expanded to become a full-fledged college. Over the years, the college has grown and changed with the times. In 1990, it became an associate degree granting institution and in 2007, it added a Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science degree to its curriculum.
