Cincinnati Christian University (CCU) was founded in 1924 as the Cincinnati Bible Seminary. It was established to provide a Bible-centered education for Christian ministers and lay leaders. The school was located on the campus of Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. The first classes began in 1925 with an enrollment of 17 students. Over the years, the school grew and developed into an accredited college with both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. In 1951, the school changed its name to Cincinnati Bible College and then to Cincinnati Bible College & Seminary in 1984. In 2000, the name became Cincinnati Christian University.

Today, CCU offers undergraduate degrees in more than 30 areas of study including business administration, theology, education, music and social work. It also offers master’s degrees in counseling psychology, organizational leadership and ministry studies. The university has grown to include over 2,000 students enrolled at its main campus as well as additional locations around Ohio and Kentucky. CCU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC-NCA). Cincinnati Christian University is a private, four-year, coeducational university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1924 as the Cincinnati Bible Seminary, the university offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs. As of fall 2019, the total enrollment was 1,622 students. Of this number, 1,307 were undergraduates and 315 were graduate students. The student body is made up of 50.9% female and 49.1% male students with an average age of 25 years old.
