Central Christian College (CCC) was founded in 1884 by a small group of devoted Christians who were passionate about providing faith-based education to the people of Kansas. The college originally opened its doors in McPherson, Kansas and began with just 12 students. Over the years, CCC has grown to become a four-year college and now has multiple campuses located throughout the United States.
In the 1920s, Central Christian College established a reputation as one of the premier liberal arts colleges in Kansas due to its rigorous academic standards and excellent faculty. During this time period, CCC also began to expand its curriculum by adding new degrees such as business administration and education. In addition, CCC established an athletics program and began competing in various sports including basketball, baseball, and football. This expansion of academic programs and sports helped to further increase enrollment at Central Christian College.
In the 1990s, Central Christian College made several major changes to keep up with the times. CCC built new facilities on their McPherson campus such as a library and student center while also adding several new degree programs such as computer science and nursing. They also opened satellite campuses in other states such as Texas and Missouri which allowed them to expand their reach even further. As of 2021, Central Christian College is still committed to providing quality faith-based education to students from all backgrounds across America.
