Passport information
Generally required, must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay.
Visa information
Generally required, with the exception of citizens of the following countries listed in the table above for a tourist stay of up to 30 days (extension usually possible on site): (a) EU countries and Switzerland. (b) [1] Citizens of Turkey who hold a valid visa for Great Britain, the USA or Canada, which has a minimum validity of 6 months upon entry, do not require an additional visa for tourist and business stays of up to 6 months the British Virgin Islands.

Transit
Travelers who otherwise require a visa and who are traveling on within 24 hours (including cruise ship passengers), have valid documents for the onward journey and do not leave the airport do not require a transit visa. First, an account must be set up with GOV.UK. You can register for a visa application via the GOV.UK account, fill out the online visa application form, pay the visa fee and arrange a personal interview appointment. The visa application is then submitted to the responsible TSL Contact Visa Application Center in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Geneva, Zurich or Vienna. It is not possible to submit an application by post.
Application required
(a) 1 application form completed online and printed out. (b) 1 recent color passport photo (4.5 x 3.5 cm). (c) Passport that is valid for at least 6 months upon entry. (d) Confirmation from the travel agent about the booked outward and return journey. (e) Proof of sufficient funds (bank certificate) (f) Proof of the purpose of the trip (certificate from the travel agency for package tours, letters of invitation from relatives or friends for private visits). (g) Fee (proof of online payment). (h) If applicable, a residence permit for Germany/Austria/Switzerland that is still valid for at least two months after the return date. (i) Proof of employment, certificate of enrollment, etc. (j) A stamped, registered return envelope.
Processing time
From the personal appointment of the visa application usually 2 weeks; up to 3 weeks for additional interview or documents to be submitted later and up to 2 months if the documents have to be forwarded to the British Virgin Islands. Long-term visas usually up to 12 weeks.
Proof of sufficient funds
Foreigners must have sufficient funds for their stay.

German: Machine-readable children’s passport with photograph or your own passport. Austrians: Own passport. Swiss: Own passport. Turks: Own passport. Note: The same visa requirements apply to children as to their parents. Note: Minors traveling alone should carry an officially certified declaration of consent from their parents/guardians. Since June 27, 2012, children need their own travel document (passport / children’s passport) for trips abroad (also within the EU). Entries of children in the parental passport are no longer possible.
Entry with pets
For the British Virgin Islands, cats and dogs require a microchip, a health certificate from the country of origin stating that the animal is in good health and has been treated for internal and external parasites, and a rabies vaccination certificate (minimum 2 vaccinations, the first at the age of at least 3 months, the second at least 6 months later). Dogs must also be vaccinated against parvovirus, canine distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and Lyme disease, cats against panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and leukemia. Dogs/cats must have stayed in the country of origin for at least 6 months. If you come from a rabies-free country (e.g. Ireland, Great Britain), you must prove that that there has been no rabies outbreak in that country for at least 24 months. The arrival of the animals must be announced in advance.
